No end in sight: Police officer among five people shot dead
Sub-Inspector Sadru Abro was going to drop his daughter at school when the incident occurred.

Five people, including a police official, were gunned down in separate incidents of violence in Karachi on Monday.
A 48-year-old sub-inspector, Sadru Abro, was shot dead and his six-year-old daughter, Asiya, wounded when two men on a motorcycle opened fire on them in Orangi Town in the limits of Iqbal Market police station. The sub-inspector, who was posted at Aram Bagh police station, was on his way to drop off his daughter at school when the incident occurred. The girl was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and is in a critical condition.
Additionally, a mechanic, 25-year-old Syed Muhammad Hafeez, was shot dead by two armed men on a motorcycle in the limits of Rizvia police station. The deceased was at work when the incident occurred. His body was transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. In a separate incident, a 30-year-old labourer, Akbar Sacchal, was shot dead by unidentified men in Ilyas Goth in the limits of Ibrahim Hyderi police station. According to the police, the incident took place over personal enmity. A 40-year-old watchman, Mehmood Aslam Khan, was also shot dead by unidentified men in Pakhtunabad, Manghopir. Additionally, a man was shot dead near Ali Bhai School in Orangi Town. The deceased was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. He has yet to be identified. All five cases are still being investigated.
