Strike: K-P lawyers boycott court proceedings

Lawyers from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) boycotted court proceedings on Monday in response to a strike call by the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC).
The PBC had called for a strike in protest of the incidents of target killings and abductions aimed towards lawyers. On April 3, former advocate general Balochistan Mir Salahuddin Mengal was abducted from Quetta and his whereabouts are still unknown while a senior lawyer, Basharatullah was killed in Islamabad. This was followed by another murder of a lawyer in Lahore.
