Crisis averted: Fire breaks out in factory
Factory burns to ashes, but no loss of life reported.
HYDERABAD:
The warehouse of a factory producing chicken feed caught fire in the SITE area on Sunday afternoon but no person was harmed in the incident.
The A One factory’s stockhouse, where feed, maize, dried fish, rice, grain and other materials were stocked, was burnt to ashes. The owner, Tariq Ahmed, estimated the loss at millions of rupees.
A possible casualty was averted because of the timely action by the fire brigade who stopped the fire from spreading to the part of the factory where the machinery and boilers were installed.According to shift in charge of Latifabad fire brigade, Qazi Rafique, it took them two and a half hours to extinguish the blaze with the help of six fire tenders, which were called from as far as Kotri and Matiari.
