ANP suspends 2 officebearers
ANP dismisses two of its party office-bearers as part of disciplinary action.
KARACHI:
The Awami National Party (ANP) in Sindh has dismissed two of its party officebearers as part of disciplinary action.
ANP Sindh president Shahi Syed had received complaints from party workers and residents of Dalmia and Lasbela of misbehaviour and wrongdoings by members of these two wards. The ANP’s wards are small, local level offices that maintain contact with voters. It has about 50 in Karachi. Each ward has a cabinet that runs the affairs of the area according to the limits set by the party constitution.
Saleemdad was heading the Dalmia ward and according to party insiders he was giving the party a bad name by taking part in illegal activities. These offices will remain closed till a new cabinet is formed.
The party has formed an organising committee for the Lasbela ward.
Information secretary Raheem Khan Swati, who was suspended some time back, has been re-appointed. “All party workers have been told not to be in touch with any of the suspended officebearers,” said spokesman Qadir Khan in a press statement.
