Facilitating litigants: New urgent cell opens in LHC

State-of-the-art facilities provided under one-roof for the litigant public and lawyers.

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Friday inaugurated a new urgent cell in the LHC.


Now people approaching the LHC will be able to file their cases at an easily accessible place adjacent to the Copy Branch.

All judges working at the principal seat (Lahore), Punjab Judicial Academy Director General Justice (retd) Syed Jamshed Ali Shah, Lahore High Court Bar Association and Lahore Bar Association office-bearers were present on the occasion.


Bandial lauded the efforts of Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah for digitalising the court record and improving the case management system.

He said the facility of urgent cell would be extended to LHC benches in Rawalpindi, Multan and Bahawalpur.

He said the LHC information helpline 1134 was also going successful.

He said judges’ vacancies would be filled soon on merit. He said persons of integrity and pleasing personalities coming up to people’s expectations would be inducted in judiciary.

He said the urgent cell had been refurbished and state-of-the-art facilities under one-roof had been provided for the litigant public and lawyers.
