Six terrorists arrested in Karachi

Six alleged terrorists have been arrested from an apartment in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi.

KARACHI: Security officials on Friday arrested six alleged terrorists from an apartment in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13 area of Karachi during an ongoing raid.

Security officials informed that three Automatic Kalashnikovs, two Pistols , two computers and one laptop was recovered from the apartment.

The suspects are all residents of Karachi and now all six have been arrested and taken to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

Karachi has recently been the target of a large number of killings and other violent incidents.

While target killing incidents have marred the law and order situation in the city, terrorists have also attacked processions in broad daylight to shake up the peace.

The situation has also badly affected trade in the business hub of the country.

Rangers arrest 46 suspects over four days

Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Friday claimed to have arrested 46 suspects along with arms and ammunition from various parts of the city in the past four days in various snap checking and crackdown operations.

Spokesman Sindh Rangers said that after preliminary interrogation the arrested suspects were handed over to police further probe.
