Chief Minister Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Barozai said on Thursday that steps are being taken to hold “free, fair and transparent elections” in Balochistan.
Talking to a private television channel, Barozai said that law enforcement agencies such as the Frontier Corps, Rangers and levies force would be called for maintaining peace and tranquility during the election.
He stated that the services of army may be sought for holding peaceful elections in the there. He said that all affairs in Balochistan were being handled independently.
Replying to a question, he said that the earthquake-affected families of Mashkail area would be compensated.
