PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Peoples Party’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chapter has accused caretaker provincial minister for Industries and Commerce Advocate Umar Farooq of supporting candidates of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl.

Addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, office secretary of PPP K-P chapter Mashal Khan and former MPA Nighat Orkazai alleged that the provincial minister was supporting JUI-F candidates in southern districts of DI Khan, Bannu and Lakki Marwat by providing them vehicles for their election campaign.

“Umer Farooq has provided official vehicles of the Afghan Commissionerate Peshawar office to JUI-F’s Akram Khan Durrani,” they claimed.

They asked caretaker Chief Minister Justice (Retd) Tariq Pervez to take action against Umer Farooq and warned of besieging the CM House if no action is taken against him within three days.
