‘Secret Funds’: PFUJ president serves legal notice
Shaukat asked the ministry to issue an apology publicly or he will be entitled to claim damages worth Rs 0.01 billion.
ISLAMABAD:
President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists, Pervaiz Shaukat has served a legal notice to ministry of information for enlisting his name among beneficiaries of ministry’s secret fund.
Shaukat in his legal notice asked the ministry to issue an apology publicly or he will be entitled to claim damages worth Rs. 0.01 billion and initiate criminal proceedings for defaming him.
On the directions of Supreme Court the ministry, earlier this week, had released a list of some journalists and media outlets that allegedly benefitted from a special fund of the ministry.
