Pre-election appointments: Mehmood bags the CCPO post again
Mehmood was last appointed as CCPO in July 2012 and remained on the post till March this year.
He was holding the charge of additional IG, CID. Mehmood was last appointed as CCPO in July 2012 and remained on the post till March this year when he was replaced by Ghulam Shabbir Shaikh.
Following Shaikh’s retirement on April 22, DIG East Captain (retired) Tahir Naveed was given the additional charge of Karchi police chief.
Other changes included posting of Ghulam Haider Jamali as the new CID chief and Sultan Khawaja as DIG Sukkur.
