LAKKI MARWAT:

Chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, said his party would end the ongoing war by negotiating with all stakeholders through a jirga.

There has been a war in the tribal areas and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for the past 10 years and the JUI-F has the strength to restore peace, he said.

Speaking in Lakki Marwat on Tuesday, Fazl said employment opportunities for people in the area would be increased to end their sense of deprivation, adding the previous Awami National Party had failed in serving the people. He said the MMA government, despite restrains, delivered more than the ANP government.

The party has always worked for the supremacy of Islam and would continue doing so if elected, he said, adding “When the US invaded Afghanistan and Iraq it was only the JUI-F that spoke against it.”

Speaking about the economy of the country, Fazl said Pakistan is in debt of around $70 billion. The JUI-F has chalked out an economic plan and will stabilise the economic condition of the nation.

Criticising the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Fazl said the party is spreading “vulgarity” among the youth, adding that this should be stopped.
