Bribery: Patwari, clerk arrested
The patwari and his clerk were caught receiving money from Mustafa.
GUJRANWALA:
A patwari and a clerk were arrested for taking a Rs200,000 bribe from a citizen for demarcating his land here on Tuesday. Raza-i-Mustafa, a resident of Ratta Road, had submitted an application with the Anti-Corruption Establishment that Patwari Malik Arshad was demanding a Rs500,000 bribe from him for demarcation of his 68 kanals. On Tuesday, an ACE team raided the patwari’s office and arrested him and clerk Waheed while receiving money from Mustafa.
