Blasphemy Charges: Bail for book binder dismissed
Petitioner Altaf Hussain told the court the local police had implicated him in a false case.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Khizar Hayat Khan dismissed the post arrest bail application of a man accused of binding Ahmadi literature and being in possession of said literature. Petitioner Altaf Hussain told the court the local police had implicated him in a false case. He said he had not committed blasphemy. He said being an uneducated man he had no clue as to the content of the books. The complainant’s lawyer, Ghulam Mustafa, said the police had seized thousands of books from his store. The lawyer said Hussain had been working with Ahmedis for 30 years and could not claim he did not know about the content of the books. He added that Hussain had been involved in a similar case in January 7.
