Monitoring Teams: ECP violations pointed out

District Returning Officer (DRO) Nazir Ahmed Gajana directed the DCO, the SSP (Operations) and the Parks and Horticulture Authority director general to “immediately remove” alleged violations of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Code of Conduct by two contesters, Samina Khalid Ghurki of the Pakistan Peoples Party (NA-130) and Tehreek-i-Tahaffuz-i-Pakistan’s Muhammad Rafique (PP-139).
The monitoring team also complained against Hafiz Shafi and Mehboob Khan, supporters of the PML-N and Haji Aadeel, a supporter of PPP for putting up flexes larger than those allowed. Gajana directed that the team submit a report in three days after implementing the code of conduct.
