4 security officers killed, 6 injured in Bannu bomb attack

Four security officials were killed and six sustained injuries when a roadside remote-controlled bomb exploded near their convoy in Frontier Region Bannu on Sunday.
According to an official, a security convoy was en route to Bannu from a camp in Mirali, North Waziristan Agency when a planted bomb exploded near one of the vehicles, killing four personnel and injuring six others.
The vehicle fell into a ravine due to the impact of the explosion.
After the explosion, security officials cordoned off the area, shifted the bodies and injured to the Bannu Combined Military Hospital and launched a search operation in the area.
The bodies were identified as Zulfiqar, Muhammad Sharif, Fazal Azim and Asad Khan.
