Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain will contest on the NA-104 seat in Jallalpur Jattan-Karianwala.
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court accepted Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain’s appeal making him eligible to contest the upcoming elections, Express News reported on Friday.
Chaudhry Wajahat’s papers were rejected by a returning officer of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on initial scrutiny, after which he had filed a review appeal with an election tribunal. The tribunal had also rejected his appeal earlier this week.
Chaudhry Wajahat is the younger brother of PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and will contest on the NA-104 seat in Jallalpur Jattan-Karianwala.
The objections on Chaudhry Wahajat’s papers had stated that he did not declare his assets correctly.
