According to initial details, the plane was at a height of around 9,000 feet and was headed towards Hasilpur from Quetta when the incident happened.
The plane was diverted towards Lahore where Nawaz was safely off-boarded. Nawaz went home from the Lahore airport and the party rally scheduled in Hasilpur was called off, said a PML-N spokesperson.
There were 12-15 other people on board the plane.

Nawaz Sharif is very lucky indeed. The windscreen crack can be due to low quality or equipment fatigue. He should come to his senses and play without favorites. All humans are equal before Allah Almighty. Salams

@TightPatloon: yes but everything broken in this country.. your beloved mian sab has played a part in breaking it dear. Mian sab will always keep a parachute handy but us the common people would have nothing to cling to if he comes to power again. Don't compare mian sab with PPP, just see pakistan's current situation and compare it with other counties of the region let alone developed nations. We need a massive makeover and only a strong leader with a vision can do that for us. Imran khan has the credibility and credentials to do that. Having said that, I sincerely wish mian sab well and may Allah keep him safe and other politicians of the county no matter how corrupt they are. Lets people votes decide there fate no anything else.

There is a reason for why these things happen. The glass in airplanes is super strong. Nawaz Sharif please learn from the almighty and ask for his forgiveness. Next time it may be your last.
