N Waziristan: Two killed, 20 injured in crossfire

The series of crossfire between militants and security forces continued on the second day in North Waziristan killing two and injuring more than 20 people in the last two days.


Reportedly, mortar shells fired from unknown direction in Mirali tehsil of the agency landed in the Nizamia seminary in which a student identified as Zafrullah was injured while the seminary was partially damaged.


Despite the curfew, the injured was taken to the local hospital. Educational institutes and businesses remained shut.

According to reports, several houses in Edak, Haider Khel and Hasso Khel and villages near Tochi River were destroyed due to the ongoing crossfire between militants and security forces.

Due to the curfew, tribesmen are restricted to their homes and couldn’t leave the area.

A petrol station owned by Mashar Khan caught fire when a shell fired from a helicopter struck the pump. No human loss was reported.
