Road disaster: One killed, 13 injured in accident

The official further said nine students and five people inside the car were severely injured.

 A female student was killed and 13 others were injured when a vehicle ran over pedestrians and then plunged into a ravine in Alpuri, Shangla district on Thursday.



An official of the Alpuri police said the driver, identified as Faramud Din, lost control of the vehicle and hit students that were on their way home in Alpuri Payan. The vehicle then plunged into a deep ravine by the roadside. The official further said nine students and five people inside the car were severely injured and were taken to the headquarters hospital. One of the injured students, Alia Bibi, succumbed to her injuries. Gul Bar Khan, the hospital’s medical superintendent said five critically injured students along with a passenger were referred to Saidu Hospital in Swat.
