Rape, murder: RYK judge told to submit report

The Lahore High Court has asked the Rahim Yar Khan district and sessions judge to look into the murder of a girl who was allegedly killed after she refused to drop rape charges against four people. The judge has been directed to submit a report, in a week, to the high court about the steps taken by the local police, along with his own comments. The girl, a resident of Chak No36 of Khanpur, had nominated a couple in a rape FIR she registered at the Sahja police station. According to a news article, the suspects had been pressuring the girl to withdraw the charges against them and killed her when she refused.
