Stakeholders: Najam Sethi emphasises role of private sector

Trade activities could be promoted by making SAARC Chamber more effective and vibrant, says Sethi.

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Najam Sethi has said that private sector plays an important role in national development and strengthening the economy.


The goal of national progress and prosperity can be achieved by promoting public private partnership, he said while talking to a delegation of different chambers of commerce and industry, which called on him under the leadership of Vice Chairman SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday.


Sethi said that trade activities could be promoted by making SAARC Chamber more effective and vibrant. He stressed the need for enhancing trade, economic and cultural cooperation among the countries of region.

He hoped that the policy makers would take steps for further enhancing trade activities among the regional countries.
