Polio campaign: 8 policemen suspended for absence
Negligence in performing duties in the drive would not be tolerated, says SP Saddar.

Eight police officers were suspended from jobs on Tuesday for absence from duty during the anti-polio campaign. Saddar police Superintendent Syed Junaid Arshad said that the officers– Sub Inspector Imran Sarwar, Constables Arshad, Afzal, Iftikhar, Farooq, Javed, Akhar and Nasir– did not report to the basic health unit in Mari Bhandara in the Tatlay Aali police area. The superintendent said that their negligence could have harmed the vaccination drive. He said negligence in performing duties in the drive would not be tolerated and that immediate action would be taken against those found guilty.
