Pending cases have not been withdrawn against the alleged gangsters, only the bounty offered of Rs2m for Uzair Baloch, Rs0.5m for Zahid Ladla and Taj Mohammad was removed.
The head money for the three alleged gang members was announced on April 12, 2012.
These men are accused of running organised crime in the city’s oldest area, Lyari, and face many charges including murder, kidnapping for ransom, extortion, drug supply and other such heinous crimes.
Earlier on February 16, the provincial government withdrew the bounty on similar alleged gangsters Omar Katchi, Fahim, Sheraz Comrade, Abdul Jabbar Jhengo, Faisal Pathan, Rashid Rekha Bangali, Mullah Nisar and Rashid Lond.
The reason behind the decision has not been made clear yet.

Will supreme court take any notice of this?
No matter how strong they may be today, tomorrow the govt will themselve put a bullet in these gangster's head. These gangsters don't seem to learn from the history of their predecessors. The govt uses them and when their work is finished, they are also finished.
The wording in this report suggests that this news item is written by some one Pro-90 Karachi.
Since they have won the footie game against Arshad Papu the govt rewarded them by taking off the head money so that great players wont give up and continue with the game
i hope pakistani people will now learn a thing or two about the elections. Minority votebank politics, nexus between politicians and gangsters and regional fighting even threatening oneness of nation. But the best part is that the same corrupt comes back to power again and again anyhow somehow
Mutual understanding of strategical interests
What an impartial caretaker Sindh Govt??????????
The reason is clear...Elections are near! Plenty of votes coming to PPP from lyari!
Only God can help Karachi now.
So they are allowed to resume their noble work? I won't be surprised if we see them planning a "Joint Venture" with TTP in near future.
Free and fair elections!.
