Press Conference Tappi denies land grabbing allegations

Memon said that the PPP is a federal party and represented the people of all four provinces

KARACHI:
Ovais Muzaffar Tappi has denied allegations of land grabbing. At a press conference with former information minister Sharjeel Memon, Tappi said that Shirazis, not him, were land grabbers. He said that he has been nominated to contest PS-88 Ghora Bari and he would contest on the basis of the party manifesto. Meanwhile, Memon said that no alliance can defeat the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Sindh. He said different parties and groups have made many alliances against the PPP but it always managed to defeat them. In an apparent jibe at the Shirazi brothers of Thatta, he asked the chief election commissioner to allot them ‘Lota’ as their election symbol for changing their loyalties at least 20 times. Memon dispelled the impression that PPP had a Sindh card and said that the PPP is a federal party and represented the people of all four provinces. Former Gora Bari taluka nazim, Muhammad Qasim Chandio, announced to join the PPP along with his family and friends on the occasion.
