Power Cut: Nominee defaults on Rs2 million payment

Larkana’s Sepco executive engineer said that a total of Rs2,147,724 was the outstanding amount.

RATODERO:
The Sukkur Electric Power Company (Sepco) Naudero authorities disconnected power supply to Pakistan Peoples Party nominee Muhammad Ali Bhutto’s residence over delay in payment of dues.

Larkana’s Sepco executive engineer, Muzaffar Jatoi, said that a total of Rs2,147,724 (Account No. 0084054 and 00021220) was the outstanding amount in the name of the nominee’s late father, Mushtaq Khan Bhutto.

Several notices have been issued but all in vain, he added. Jatoi informed the reporters that the National Accountability Bureau had directed them in a letter to disconnect the power supply and they have simply complied with the order.

When contacted the PPP nominee confirmed the disconnection but added that he had cleared the dues.
