Going Places: KESC turnaround lauded at Harvard

KARACHI: Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) chairperson Tabish Gauhar recently delivered an address at the Harvard Business School and presented the story of KESC’s turnaround.

The Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School has published a joint case study on KESC to capture the unique public-private partnership model aimed at transforming the ailing power utility.

Gauhar outlined how KESC’s sustainability goals work in harmony with its operational and financial goals and how their approach goes beyond the one-dimensional shareholder value creation.
