Elections 2013: Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan’s manifesto
Party chairperson said if party is voted into power, it would make the country a welfare Islamic state.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) Chairman Muhammad Sabtain Gillani presented the party’s 18-point manifesto at the Peshawar Press Club on Monday.
He said if the party is voted into power in the general elections, it would make the country a welfare Islamic state.
In addition to creating an Islamic state, the JUP would ensure equal rights for everyone and make the country free from sectarianism, promised Gillani.
Providing education, health facilities, employment to the youth, equals rights, and abolishment of un-Islamic laws would be priorities for the party, he added.
Gillani said the party would never compromise on the sovereignty of the state and would extend all forms of support to Kashmir and Palestine in their struggle for independence.
The party is contesting elections on nine National Assembly and 22 provincial assembly seats. Gillani will stand from NA-1 Peshawar.
