First time in Karak: Boys’ college targeted by militants
The hall, sports complex and a boundary wall of the college have been destroyed.

In the first such incident in Karak district, a government degree college for boys in Bandha Daud Shah was damaged by explosives planted by unidentified militants.
DSP Bhanda Daud Shah Jamil Akhtar said an educational institute has never been targeted by militants before. Around 10pm, two loud explosions were heard from the building which panicked residents.
The college watchman, Mussali Khan, was sleeping at the time of the incident. The intensity of the explosion woke him up and he rushed towards the examination hall. The hall, sports complex and a boundary wall of the college have been destroyed.
The police official added the bomb disposal squad could not confirm the quantity of explosives used. Initial investigations revealed that militants jumped over the boundary wall, planted the explosives and then managed to escape.
A search operation was launched by the police on Sunday morning. Ten suspects along with the watchman of the school were taken into custody.
