Rescued: Woman arrested for suicide attempt
Surrayya bibi said that her in-laws wanted to dispossess her of her house.

Police took a woman and her two sons into custody for attempting suicide here on Monday. Surrayya Bibi, 35, a resident of Shahbaz Colony, and her two sons were lying on the Sheranwala Bagh railway track when passersby rescued them. Talking to her rescuers, she said her in-laws wanted to dispossess her of her house. She said they had beaten her several times. She said she had approached the Peoples Colony police with a complaint but had been ignored.
