The ECP ordered the session courts take relevant action against the guilty.
The former members of assembly who were proven guilty include:

• PPP MPA Mir Nadir Magsi
• Brother of Governor Zulfikar Magsi - PML-Q MPA Nawabzada Tariq Magsi
• PML-Q Senator Balochistan Rehana Yahya Baloch
• Balochistan National party (BNP) senator Israrullah Zehri
• Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Shumaila Rana
• Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) MPA Bashir Ahmed Khan
• Pakistan Muslim League (PML) MPA Rana Ijaz Ahmed Noon
• PPP MPA Shabina Khan
• Balochistan senator PML-Q Mir Mohabbat Khan Marri
The ECP had earlier reserved judgement on twelve members on April 5.
The Supreme Court on April 3, directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to reopen cases against 24 lawmakers accused of holding fake degrees.
District courts across the country continued awarding jail sentences and penalties to former lawmakers believed to be in possession of fake degrees.
Rubina Khan and PPP MPA Mukesh Kumar were relieved of the charges.

The massive cheating in matriculation examination in all cities of Sindh is a glaring example of collapsing education system of Sindh. While the government and HEC enjoy their sound sleep!

@ Breaking Bad No doubt, Punjab assembly had fake degreeholders but they have been filtered out. The problem is that the filtration process was not allowed in Sindh Assembly. The Registrar of Jamshoro University has recently been suspended for verifying a fake degree. Doesn't it show how "clean" the process in Sindh has been??

what is baffling and ridiculously bizarre is that so many of the MNA’s were not scrutinised and in fact were cleared to contest elections, served 5 years as lawmakers, were in fact cheats and deceivers. Why was this scrutiny not done in 2008!?? the election commission as an institution failed in performing its role as much as any dishonest politician. furthermore the ones being caught and sentenced for holding fake degrees are those who had the audacity to submit nomination papers again this time (2013), what of the others who also hold fake degrees, have enjoyed 5 years of privileges!? A truly shameful state of affairs we are all facing in Pakistan. Imagine...out of 342 seats (MNAs) in the National Assembly we know, so far, aproxx 50 were invalid (yet sitting in the NA twiddling their thumbs and endorsing laws), that leaves 298 valid MNAs, again, so far as we know. Therefore, how can we say the last government was the first ever to complete its term when technically the constitution of the NA was incomplete.

What is the status of Sardar Faiz Tamman from NA-61? Tamman got elected in 2008 on PML-N ticket by defeating Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. But when his fake degree was proven, PML-N ousted him and in no time PTI picked this fake degreeholder. Justice demands that he should also be punished!
Fake degree or geniune degree.
This is more a matter of genuine and fake legislator.
Imagine, people vote and elect these people. And expect them to provide leadership and improve the country.
ECP has become a joke. ROs are going beserk and their is no oversight on their decisions> Musharraf and Sharif Brothers are examples. Why are majority of fakers from Baluchistan??? If all credentials are improper, then all of these politicians should go to jail and all their properties and assets confiscated. That is the law. Why then is the law not being applied and administered by Courts??
No coming back for fake degree holders. Bar them from holding any public office forever.
