Student assists in combating terror
A student develops laser gun to detect suicide bombers and take them out.
LAHORE:
An MSc student from Punjab University, Zeeshan, has developed a special weapon capable of tracking people strapped with explosives and even taking them out.
Zeeshan, who is a final year student, has developed a laser-gun which can be operated from a control room. It works on the pattern of a metal detector and instantly alarms the control room after tracing explosive material.
The control room can then take out the target with pin-point accuracy with the help of the laser guided system.
Zeeshan said he got the basic idea from US drones which, are being used to take out targets in FATA, and finalised it with the help of his teachers.
