CHARSADDA: While formally launching Qaumi Watan Party’s (QWP) campaign for the upcoming elections in Charsadda, party chief Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Saturday vowed to end the rampant corruption and lawlessness prevailing in the province if voted into power.  “The previous government totally failed to create jobs and restore order in the province, pushing the country to the brink of disaster,” he said at a well-attended public gathering in Sherpao village. “People have only received price hikes, lawlessness and an energy crisis,” he added.  “The people gave them a mandate in the previous election, but they could not deliver despite remaining in power for five years,” Sherpao said.   “The people will only elect honest and unblemished leadership that will stand by them through thick and thin in the forthcoming elections.”  While speaking about QWP’s aims, Sherpao said solid steps will be taken to revive infrastructure in the region, adding providing relief to families affected by militancy will be on top of the party’s agenda. QWP provincial chief Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao and other local party office-bearers were also present on the occasion.
