No-go areas: Around 96 areas cleared in district East

The police have abolished 96 no-go areas in district East, announced the spokesperson of the Sindh IGP, SSP East Imran Shaukat, at a press conference on Saturday.
He informed the media that the areas cleared included Shanti Nagar, Dalmia, Malir, Khokrapar and others.
He said that during the operations they arrested 20 culprits, which included Faisal alias Dakait, Waseem Siyal alias Behari and Muhammad Saleem, and seized three rifles and 17 pistols.
He also said that around four areas of the district were in the hands of criminal elements but now the citizens can move freely in those areas.
When asked about vehicle ownership, the SSP said that April 18 is the deadline for citizens to get their vehicles transferred in their name.
