HEC declares degrees of 80 former lawmakers authentic
HEC sends report to ECP, states degrees of 101 former MNAs, MPAs yet to be verified.

Degrees of 80 former lawmakers were declared authentic by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC), Express News reported on Saturday.
The number was revealed in a report submitted by the HEC to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The report further stated that degrees of 101 former MNAs and MPAs are yet to be verified.
The issue of fake degrees has cast a shadow over the political future of scores of former lawmakers as many degrees have been declared fake.
The ECP had reopened cases against former lawmakers accused of holding fake degrees on the directives of the Supreme Court.
