Marathon: ‘A step forward to eradicate dengue’

Prizes will be awarded in five categories.

The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) and Mortein will hold a half marathon titled ‘Qadam barhao Dengue bhagao’ (take a step forward to eradicate dengue) on Sunday.

PMA Secretary General Dr Izhar Chaudhry said, “We have organised this marathon to promote a healthier Pakistan. Last year, the event attracted 4,000 participants including athletes, mentally and physically handicapped people and health conscious citizens.”  The marathon would run 13 miles and 285 yards, from the Race Course Park to Liberty Chowk, he said.


Prizes will be awarded in five categories. The first prize is Rs10,000, the second Rs5,000 and the third Rs3,000.
