KARACHI:
Misbahul Haq’s change in approach – from being a risk-averse player to attacking batsman – continued as his unbeaten whirlwind ton helped SNGPL defeat KRL by four wickets in their President’s Cup One-day Tournament Group A match at the Multan Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Set a target of 279, Misbah’s 82-ball 119 that contained four sixes and 13 boundaries made the chase earier as SNGPL completed the job in the penultimate over. Azhar Ali also played a handy knock of 79.

Earlier, KRL made 278 for eight in their 50 overs as Mohammad Yaseen (63), Shoaib Minhas (59) and Saeed Anwar Jr (59) struck half-centuries.

In the other group match, NBP beat ZTBL by six wickets courtesy a 125-run fifth-wicket stand between Hammad Azam and Umar Waheed.
