Court Boycott: Lawyers protest kidnappings
They urge interim government to take immediate steps for recovery of kidnapped lawyers and ensure security.
QUETTA:
The lawyer community in Balochistan boycotted court proceedings protesting against the kidnapping of former Advocate General Balochistan Salahuddin Mengal.
Lawyers led by Balochistan Bar Association President Rehmatullah Barech Advocate, Gull Hassan Tareen, Anwar Kasi, Baz Muhammad Kakar and Attaullah Langov staged a sit-in outside Governor’s House.
Addressing the gathering the lawyers condemned the kidnapping. They urged the interim government to take immediate steps for the recovery of kidnapped lawyers and ensure security to lawyers and other citizens.
