Cricket: ZTBL beat Lahore in women’s event

HEC defeated Multan by 93 runs as Sidra Amin made 79 and Aliya Riaz chipped in with 56.

KARACHI:
Bismah Maroof hit a crucial 80 to help ZTBL register an emphatic 206-run win against hosts Lahore in their 8th National Women Championship Zone-B match at the Bagh-e-Jinnah Ground. Asked to bat first, ZTBL amassed 304 for five in their 50 overs. In reply, Lahore were bundled out for 98 in 41.5 overs as Sadia Yousuf took three wickets, while skipper Sana Mir bagged two. Meanwhile, HEC defeated Multan by 93 runs as Sidra Amin made 79 and Aliya Riaz chipped in with 56. In another match, Marium Butt and Iqra Ghulam picked up three wickets apiece as Sialkot defeated Abbottabad by seven wickets. Elsewhere, Islamabad won by 72 runs against PKB.
