In his objection, PPP member Sohail Malik said that Nawaz was a defaulter in the Asghar Khan case.
Malik – in his complaint – also said that Nawaz was not “sadiq” and “ameen” because he brokered a deal in order to escape Pakistan when his government was toppled in 1999.
According to the Supreme Court’s short order on the case, the then army chief, president and DG ISI were involved in rigging the elections of 1990 and had doled out money to politicians in an attempt to manipulate polls.
In the past, Nawaz Sharif has “strongly” denied allegations of receiving funds from the ISI during the 1990 elections. He said that Mehran Bank owner Yunus Habib, who allegedly gave loaned money to the ISI in the 1990s, had a “criminal” past and he did not remember ever meeting him.

Decision of Supreme Court of Pakistan in Asghar Khan case is against then army chief and DG ISI. Nawaz Sharif and any other IGI politician is not punished. Not any case is registered against them. So this case oder can not be basis for disqualification of someone.

This really puts the cat amongst the pigeons...a ist and true test of the independence of the ECP and judiciary...if he is allowed to contest in the face of glaring evidence then the freedom of judiciary and ECP will be a myth....esp if ppl like Jamshed Dasti and Ayaz Ameer can be disqualified on much lesser grounds....
A shame justice is in action, where SELECTIVE justice is being done. Middle class representatives in different parties (Ayaz Amir, Jamshed Dasti, few other independents) and people from small parties and small provinces are being punished, disqualified and sent to jail for fake degrees but influential people from establishment parties escape from police hands from the courts.
More interestingly, fake degree holders are sent to jail for 1 and 3 years, but those looted Pakistan exchequer will be allowed to win elections and loot poor Pakistanis once again.
SHAME ON SUCH JUSTICE.

if election commision fails to take any action against any of the bigwigs then thr is no point of any sort of scrutiny process... this nawaz sharif shud b banned from elections because he lied on television that he didnt take any money from isi but now it is proven and supreme court's verdict is out... ch.nisar ali shud also b barred becoz his a level certificate is fake tooo..
if ECP is really working, none of these are eligible for one reason or another
