Utter poverty: Addict kills father for refusing money

Inayat Maseeh - a cobbler - had expelled his son, Tony, from his house over his addiction to drugs.

KAMALIA: A drug addict allegedly slit his father’s throat on Saturday for not giving him money to buy drugs. Police said Inayat Maseeh had been a cobbler. He had expelled his 20-year-old son, Tony, from his house over his addiction to drugs and keeping a bad company. On Saturday, Tony visited his father and asked for some money. On his refusal, he attacked his father with a cobbling tool. Inayat died on the way to hospital. Police said Tony had confessed to killing his father.
