MIANWALI: City police have received a complaint from a University of Sargodha sub-campus director who has claimed to have received a threatening call by a caller who he said told him to resign in a week.

Dr Muhammad Ilyas Tariq said that the caller had introduced himself as Kalay Khan, “from Chadroka”.

He said in his first call three days ago, the caller told him to leave office within 10 days otherwise, he would be killed.

He said he didn’t take the matter seriously thinking someone was playing a prank on him, but after he received a call again on Thursday, he informed the police.

In his second call, he said, the caller reminded him of the deadline. He said some lecturers were present and he turned on the speaker of the phone so that everyone could hear the caller.

Police said they were trying to locate the caller.
