Former PSM chairman indicted in corruption scandal
Former Pakistan Steel Mills Chairman Moin Aftab has been indicted in a corruption scandal.
The federal Anti-Corruption Court has charged him and others accused with embezzling Rs22 billion.
The court led by judge Shaukat Memon resumed hearing the Steel Mills corruption case and indicted nine people.
Other than Moin Aftab, Brigadier Abdul Qayyum, Imtiaz-ul Hassan, Asghar Ali Farooq, Syed Zahid Ali Hashmi, Muhammad Aslam, Ali Haider and Najmuddin were indicted. The FIA had sought time to file the final challan in the case.
However counsel for Moin Aftab told the court over nine months had passed in between and therefore the interim challan should be considered as the final one.
