Hayat’s Plea: LHC orders BISE to issue certificate
Hayat filed petition of losing original certificate and requested board to issue a duplicate which it didn’t.
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Thursday directed the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore, to issue within a day a duplicate matriculation certificate to former federal minister Faisal Saleh Hayat.
Hayat has filed a petition and submitted that he had lost his original certificate of secondary education and requested the board to issue him a duplicate which it didn’t.
The petitioner said if the duplicate certificate was not issued to him, the election commission would not accept his nomination papers for the upcoming general elections.
He prayed to the court to order the BISE to issue him the certificate immediately.
Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah ordered the board chairman to issue the certificate and submit a compliance report to the court on Friday (today).
