Law And Order: IGP increases deployment

Khan also asks all police wings to ensure effective coordination and keep a vigilant eye on suspicious activities.

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Bani Amin Khan, on Wednesday directed the police to make additional deployment at sensitive places in the capital.

In view of upcoming elections, Khan also asked all police wings including operational police, CID, security division and special branch to ensure effective coordination among themselves besides keeping a vigilant eye on suspicious activities.

The IGP issued the directives while chairing a meeting. He also directed the police officers concerned to deploy lady police commandos at traffic signals for checking suspicious women.

The IGP appealed to the citizens to extend their cooperation in this regard and inform Rescue 15 or police stations concerned about any suspicious activity in their respective areas.
