Sindh acting chief secretary appointed

Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha is handed over the additional charge of acting chief secretary of Sindh.

KARACHI:
The Sindh government has issued a notification that the Board of Revenue senior member, Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha, has been handed over the additional charge of the acting chief secretary of the province.

This development confirms reports that Kamran Lashari, who was appointed chief secretary of the province about a week ago, has been ordered by the prime minister to report back to the establishment division in Islamabad. Lashari, a former chairperson of the Capital Development Authority, is facing a departmental inquiry and the Supreme Court had expressed dissatisfaction over his recent appointment.

Pasha had earlier served as the acting chief secretary after Fazlur Rehman had retired from the post.

The Sindh government has also appointed Excise and Taxation Additional Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui as the Excise and Taxation director general.
