KARACHI:
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) awaits a report from national coach Zavisa Milosavljevic after the team failed to progress into the next round of the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers.

Federation Secretary Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi said the Serb will have to put his case forward in order to retain the job.

“We want to have a foreign coach and we are clear about that,” Lodhi told The Express Tribune. “There is no coaching crisis as yet, because the assistant coach Anwar Shahzad can take over from Zavisa if things don’t work out.

“For now the results are not good and we will take at least a week to decide on his future.

“Our main disappointment is that we had given everything to the coach and he still failed to produce the results. We can’t really axe him right now, not until we see the post-tour report.”

Zavisa was hired in 2011 and his contract is due to expire in November this year.
