Shootout: Suspected robber killed

A suspected robber was shot dead and two security guards were seriously injured in the shootout between robbers and the guards of a trader in Westridge on Thursday.
The shootout occurred on Najam Shaheed Road when four armed robbers stopped the car of a money changer, Qazi, who was on his way home after exchanging money from Mall Road and tried to snatched Rs1.2m and foreign currency from him. However, Qazi’s guards offered resistance to them and foiled the robbery bid. During the exchange of fire one of the robbers got killed. The injured guards were taken to hospital where their conditions were stated to be stable. The police registered a case.
