Squash: Nasir Iqbal reaches semis in Kuwait

Pakistan’s Nasir Iqbal reached the semi-finals of the PSA Burgan Bank Challenger tournament after defeating local player Yousif Nizar Salen in a marathon five-setter in Kuwait City.
Iqbal battled for 80 minutes to overcome the Kuwait qualifier 5-11, 11-6, 11-6, 15-17 and 11-9.
The unseeded Pakistani will now face Malaysia number two Muhd Asyraf Azan.
Earlier, Iqbal defeated another local player Ammar Altamimi in the first round with scores of 7-11, 11-5, 10-12, 11-7 and 11-7.
Pakistan’s Danish Atlas Khan was defeated in his first-round match by Kuwait’s Fallah Mohammed 3-2.
