The Jubilee Insurance 38th National Snooker Championship continued to produce shocks as second-seed Asjad Iqbal bowed out in the prequarter-finals yesterday.

His exit follows that of  IBSF world champion Mohammad Asif who suffered a shock defeat on Thursday.

In the senior-pros clash, Muhammad Sajjad defeated Mohammad Yousuf 5-2 while Abdul Sattar chalked up a similar victory against Mohammad Majid. The other winners on the day were Shahid Aftab and Farhan Noor.
