Jewellers staged a demonstration here on Thursday demanding better security for their businesses, a day after four shops at the Ghulam Muhammadabad market were robbed. The jewellers kept their shops shut and threatened street protests if the robbers were not arrested “within 24 hours”. They accused the police of laxity. Faisalabad City Police Officer Bilal Kamyana expressed “dismay” over the lethargy of Ghulam Muhammadabad police. He censured SHO Zafar Iqbal and the Gulberg DSP.
